Some that didn't show due to rain, had very rewarding lessons over the weekend. Claire and her Vivaldi had great rounds in the 15-16 Children's. Today in the Classic, they were clear. The jump off was well ridden, but they had an unlucky last fence down. DJ showed Rehy Lux in the 15-17 Children's also. They were 9th in the 1st class & 12th in the Speed. They had a great weekend!
Today, a new student of mine, Manuel Lecuona, from Mexico riding Courage was excellent in the 1.50m Classic. They jumped a first round clear over a difficult track. They took a shot in the jump off, leaving out strides. It was a super round, but 1 fence down put them in 8th place. I was proud of both horse and rider!

I can't ever remember the show being cancelled for 2 days. These are good days for taking care of personal fitness. No excuses not to get to the gym, yoga, Pilates or whatever exercise you like! Take care of your horses and then take care of yourself. See you at the gym!

It was an amazing evening! Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa were the hosts. They also performed!
Today Claire Harves and her 6 yr old horse, Vivaldi, placed 12th in the 15-17 Children Jumper Speed class! They had a great quick round! Motto was double clear in the 1.35m jump off class. Out of nearly 80 we ended 4th! He was super. Later I enjoyed the Lunch & Learn, presented by my sponsor Nutrena. Afterwards, I signed autographs at their booth. This evening I'm at the beautiful Dover Saddlery's open house in Wellington. Cathy Sacher of Essex shirts, who also sponsors me, asked me to represent Essex. It is a fabulous event, food , music and horse lovers!
