It's been fun being at home in this gorgeous Spring weather. This morning we set jumps on the grass Grand Prix field. I taught lessons non stop today. We shot some super footage for my membership site, Riding and Jumping Mentor. I worked with west coast eventer, Matt Brown with 3 lovely horses. They all look ready for Jersey Fresh next week. Junior riders, DJ and Carley Eakin lessoned with Tony Merolillo, working on focus and getting the exercise done. By the end, they all got it! Morgan Hoffman and Taylor Battaglia also had great schools today. Here is a short clip of one of Matt's lessons from today. To watch more videos like this become a Riding and Jumping Mentor member. We had a wonderful, long day at Princeton today. Diva was exceptional and nearly won the Grand Prix! There were 15 in the jump off. I knew it would be a horse race. We went as fast as we could in the jump off. We took the lead by over a second. In the end Sarah Segal and Zelda beat us by a whisker. Diva tried her heart out and had fun! Motto was clear in the Grand Prix too. In the jump off, 1 down gave him the 12th place check. Cara Dayton and Winner Star had 2 beautiful clear rounds as well in the Grand Prix! They placed 6th! To wrap up the day, nearly in the dark, Tony showed Aslan in the Low Jr A/O Classic. It was worth the wait. Tony and Aslan were totally focused also jumping 2 clear rounds! They were fast enough to wind up in 3rd place! We had a great show in Princeton. The horses jumped extremely well and the riders let them!!!
