Day 2 of my Austin clinic went well, other than I felt like I was back in Park City with temperatures in the 20s then up to 30s, in the "covered" arena. There was definitely a wind chill factor! Saturday it was nearly 80!
Because of my students showing up so keen to learn more, the weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits! In fact, many riders truly had some epiphanies on why position is crucial and how to improve theirs. That was cool to watch. As the classes progressed, I could see the riders feeling more centered and balanced and their horses responding better. Their distances and rhythm became more consistent and even. All of the horses and riders were hungry to learn and experiment with new things! I know they all went to the next level in their riding. Really fun!
Here is a video clip of one of the riders executing the exercise beautifully.
